The ideal candidate will possess deep experience in food and beverage, chemical, medical device, consumer packaged goods or general discrete manufacturing. Additionally, top candidates will have specific functional experience in one or more of the following areas: engineering, procurement, operations, planning, order fulfillment, transportation/logistics, finance, or costing. They should also have deep JDE ERP background. Finally, top candidates will have numerous executive contacts in the local market.
As a part of Baker Tilly’s Consulting Practice, you will play an integral role on our project teams and assist our clients in designing and implementing the right solutions with a practical approach in order to meet their unique business needs. Our team of experienced consultants helps organizations identify opportunities for improvement, plan and execute initiatives, evaluate project performance, and provide subject matter consultation in strategy, operations, financial, technology, human capital, customer and project management. Our consultants have the opportunity to experience a variety of projects across multiple industries and functional areas, which will foster rapid professional and personal growth.
Primary responsibilities include:
• Be aware of leading trends in the manufacturing and distribution market space and define solution offerings to be taken to market to meet the needs of manufacturers and distributors
• Identify and pursue project opportunities at existing clients
• Identify and pursue new client prospects
• Lead and support sales execution activities
• Manage client relationships
• Defining project approaches and project plans
• Manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously
• Provide deep functional and industry expertise
• Prior JDE experience implementing and supporting manufacturing and distribution functionality
• Manage project risk
• Staff management/development; supervising and coordinating activities
• Represent firm and/or profession through speaking engagements, appointments, internal and external assignments as well as active participation in relevant professional and community organizations
• Support and enhance internal operations
The most qualified candidates will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree in a specialized field such as accounting, business, finance, industrial engineering, computer science, management information systems, or a related field
• Master’s degree in related field preferred
• A minimum of 8 years of directly related work experience in the field of specialization along with the demonstrated ability to plan and administer numerous, large, complex engagements concurrently
• Experience with a large consulting organization
• Demonstrated leadership and practice development abilities
• The highest levels of technical competence in field of specialization
• Superior ability and proven effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills
• Proven organizational and problem-solving skills
• Strong data analysis skills
