Position Description

The School Improvement Network is looking for a highly-qualified Content Producer-Writer.  In this position, the candidate will be on the forefront of educational change in North America.  The job will require visiting the most successful examples of school improvement, documenting the work of these schools on video, interviewing the top-experts in education on camera, and crafting this footage into dynamic media-based training programs in video and print and in online courses.  To fill this position, the candidate needs to have a good understanding of successful educational practices, and a passion for improving our schools as we support educators in leading all students to high levels of success.

Responsibilities:



  • Produce media-based professional development training programs for school improvement.

  • Write training materials to be delivered through video, print, and online-courses.  This material must be based on current educational research and utilize video footage shot in schools.

  • Understand current educational research in relation to best teaching practices and school improvement.

  • Manage production responsibilities, such as budgeting, scheduling, site-visit arrangements, and coordinating work with the production crew.

  • Develop and manage relationships with educators, researchers, and experts featured in media programs.


Requirements:



  • Project and/or team management experience

  • Educational experience as teacher, researcher, and/or administrator

  • Some experience in the field of professional development is preferred

  • Demonstrated writing and/or media production ability

  • College education, preferably graduate work
