Position Summary:
 
The primary objective of a Continuous Improvement Change Agent is to coordinate and strategically lead performance improvement initiatives across a product category value stream(s) from consumer to supplier. This will be accomplished through effective leadership and working relationships with business leaders, functional change agents, and all applicable commercial and supply chain department personnel.   The CI Change Agent will utilize performance management, problem solving, and lean/sigma tools as well as training, coaching, and influence skills to achieve specific organizational change and financial objectives.  The position will also be responsible for advising senior executives on the nature and progress of assigned improvement activities.

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Train, coach, and facilitate continuous improvement concepts and principles such as Lean Extended Enterprise to business unit, function, and or value stream personnel.

  • Establish meaningful metrics across the entire business unit/value stream, monitor performance, identify problems/opportunities, and use effective problem solving system and techniques to resolve them.

  • Establish continuous improvement/lean/sigma practices within the business unit/value stream and transfer ownership of practices to personnel.

  • Achieve cultural and financial aspirations in a timely manner.


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business discipline preferred, master's degree is desirable.

  • Ten plus years of commercial/supply chain/continuous improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) experience including progressively more responsible management roles is desirable

  • Lean knowledge to apply lean concepts and principles across an entire value stream from supplier to consumer 

  • Six Sigma certification/experience (highly desirable)

  • Sales, Marketing, and Operations Management experience

  • Project management experience

  • Financial acumen / analytical skills

  • Leadership / Influence

  • Oral and written communications

  • Listening skills

  • Critical thinking / problem solving skills

  • Big picture / conceptualization skills

  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed, cross-functional organization

  • Software applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.
