Our client is a diversified downstream energy company based in Houston with operations in multiple states. Continued growth has created a new role for a broadly experienced Contracts Manager to take a major role in the Company’s multi-billion capital expansion program. The Contract Manager will bring state-of-the-art knowledge, processes and systems, along with superior interpersonal and management skills, to build this department. The selected candidate will be compensated with a highly competitive salary, annual bonus and excellent benefits plan.

Responsibilities

• Support the E&C organization with contracting strategies that comply with regulations and Company policies and also best support the Company’s needs and interests
• Activities include facilitating the bid process from RFPs, bid analyses, team bid reviews and measurement criteria to contract award; managing contract execution; facilitating change management, and overseeing Document control.
• Manage Contracts support staff working in multiple locations
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives
• Negotiate and establish terms and conditions
• Manage relationships with existing suppliers and develop relationships with new suppliers
• Resolve contractual issues and disputes

Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, MBA preferred
• 10+ years experience managing energy industry subcontract process
• Experience with a variety of contract types  – Time & Materials, Cost Plus, Unit Price, etc.
• Software:  Oracle or other ERP system, Visio, PowerPoint

The value package includes salary to $130,000 depending on overall fit, annual bonus, excellent benefits, suburban location and opportunity to join an established company entering a new strategic phase of its business model for growth and profitability.
