POSITION SUMMARY

Oversees and advises the Plant President on all matters concerning accounting and control procedures.  Assists Plant President in carrying out Management responsibilities. Assists the Plant President in preparing the operating budget, projections and profit/loss statements.

Requires constant interaction with work group and other departments at the primary work location.

Position requires demonstration of competency for all on-the-job activities that may have a direct or indirect affect on product safety, legality and/or quality.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/MAJOR DUTIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates efforts of the office with other departments.
  • Assigns, directs and monitors the efforts and activities of all office personnel.
  • Responsible for all cash and bank accounts. Reconciles accounts on timely basis and safeguards accounts.
  • Ensures that all receivables are properly stated and in balance.
  • Ensures that all inventories are safeguarded and stated correctly.
  • Develops and administers profit forcast and operating budget.
  • Maintains plant records in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures Manual.
  • Adheres to controllership policies as directed by Corporate Controller.
  • Maintains accurate books and records and a strong and reliable internal control system.
  • Maintains cleanliness of work area.
  • Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures
     (EEO, Sexual Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
  • Performance of other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/REQUIREMENTS

LICENSE- 

Must possess/maintain valid state operators license and acceptable driving record.

MOBILITY- 

Ability to move to all administrative areas of  bakery, distribution centers and vendor locations.

SENSORY- 

Ability to generate written communication, operate computer keyboard, ten (10) key calculator and other required office equipment.  Ability to read and review written communication.
 
COMMUNICATION- 

Speech and hearing abilities that allow the individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English and Spanish via telephone, email and in person.
   
OTHER- 

Ability to research, ascertain, develop, implement and monitor required policies and procedures.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

Three (3) or more years accounting experience.

DESIRED EDUCATION

Four (4) year Degree in Business Administration/Major in Accounting.
