A Denver based firm is seeking a Controller to lead their accounting department. This position is responsible for the accounting operations of a mid sized international company to include the production of financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, GAAP compliance, FAR/CAS requirements/compliance, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results. This is a very hands on role that requires a very strong accounting foundation. The role includes: Consolidated financial records, Management of audits, Account and bank reconciliations, Issue timely and complete financial statements and management reporting, maintain the chart of accounts, manage outsourced accounting related functions, manage the accounting staff, provide financial analyses as needed, maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions, maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures. Requirements include: Masters degree in accounting, 10+ years of progressively responsible experience for a major company or division of a large corporation. CAS/FAR, international, and start-up company experience. Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant.
