Our client is a non-profit organization searching for a Controller/Business Manager. This manager will be responsible for the management and development of the organization's business office operations. Responsibilities will include: - Analyze the organization and provide an overall assessment to the Board of Trustees and Finance Committee in order to implement best practices, long-term planning goals and other efficiencies to align with the organization's mission
- Preparation and review of the organization's financial statements on a timely basis for presentation to the Board
- Provide support to key functional areas within the business office including the development of internal controls, processes, policies and procedures
- Review monthly financial requirements including month-end close, journal entries, account reconciliations, billing, collections, etc.
- Prepare and presentation of the budget, forecasting, long-term planning and other financial reporting as needed
- Management and develoment of the business office staff (training, guidance, set priorities)
- Preparation of tax filings and providing guidance on any tax related issues
Requirements: - BS/BA Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- Non-profit experience required (education or school experience preferred)
- Blackbaud experience a plus
