V-TEK, Inc. is an innovative and continuously growing privately held manufacturing company specializing in the development and manufacturing of electronic component packaging and processing solutions that serves a global market. We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Controller. This position directs the financial affairs of the company and prepares financial analysis of operations including financial statements, budget management and debt financing. The Controller is responsible for the company’s financial plans, policies; it’s accounting practices, the conduct of its relationships with lending institutions and the maintenance and integrity of all fiscal records.

Essential Functions:

·         Responsible for the direction and evaluation of all Accounting Department personnel. Recommend training requirement to keep the staff at the highest level of skill necessary to meet company needs and objectives.

·         Development, analysis, and interpretation of statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budgets and fiscal strategic plan.

·         Institute and maintain planning and control procedures, analyze and report variances.

·         Responsible for tax planning and compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes.

·         Coordinates and directs the preparation of budgets and financial forecast.

·         Directs all pricing and costing for all products and services.

·         Prepare reports that outline the company’s financial position in areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present and future operations, including profitability and return on investment.

·         Direct financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.

·         Recommend benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of divisions and departments.

·         Direct and coordinate debt financing and debt service payments with external agencies.

·         Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures.

·         Design, establish and maintain a departmental organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department’s goals and objectives.

·         Oversee financial management of foreign operations to include developing financial and budget policies and procedures.

Essential Skills and Experience:

·         Four year accounting degree.

·         Skills and knowledge kept current with continuing education.

·         10 – 15 years experience as a Controller with a privately held manufacturing company.

·         Working knowledge of GAAP. 

·         Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting, product-line profitability analysis, inventory management, cost and price management and cash management. 

·         Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
