Controller will set the direction of financial and quantitative reporting, planning and analysis for North America Non-Metals Procurement (NA NMP). Annual spend is approximately $500 million. Manager is expected to build and lead a team of capable professionals supporting complex and diverse analysis and reporting needs. Manager’s expertise will be in Procurement and will cross the entire functional spectrum of strategic, financial/systems and operational areas of the business. Manager will provide analysis to drive the NA NMP procurement activities to achieve maximum levels of productivity and effectiveness. Manager and team will provide in-depth financial analysis and leadership in the NA NMP procurement endeavors and will participate in the formulation of overall strategy, plan, objectives, metrics, policies and decision making.

Requirements for Success:

• BS in Finance or Accounting. MBA, CPA, CMA is a plus.
• Eight (8+) years experience in a financial analysis/management role preferably supporting a supply chain, procurement or purchasing function.
• Experience working for a large (500 MM+) complex manufacturing company is desired.
• Strong analytical skills, comfortable performing complex data analyses, able to identify trends and insights, and translate those insights into meaningful action items/information.
• In-depth understanding of the economics of the business and the dynamics of the manufacturing industry, customers, competitors, etc.
•  A change agent with the ability to clearly & concisely articulate strategy & vision & the ability to get people aligned.
• Demonstrated success in implementing complex IT systems changes that improve underlying processes and create actionable information.
• Strong IT systems background/computer skills. Oracle & Hyperion is a plus.
• Three (3+) years of management experience with strong coaching skills.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication and influencing skills
• Ability to drive improvements and bring insights to financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to provide action-oriented, solution-driven initiatives and sourcing processes that are perceived as adding value to the business and are accepted as value-added necessities to the future success of the organization.
• Strong financial acumen; demonstrated success in project management to drive profitable growth. Works well with others indirectly and gets results.
• Demonstrated success in process improvement efforts and cost management initiatives. Lean principles, six sigma certification or working knowledge of lean principles is a plus.
• Outstanding ability to juggle priorities, balance urgent and important, and follow through.  Prioritization skills are critical. 
•  Strong team player, self-starter, highly motivated, with a desire to achieve.
