Controls Engineer
Our Client, a leader in the Food Manufacturing Industry, is currently looking for a solid Controls Engineer for their plant in the Northwest Territory.The ideal candidate should have experience in the Food/Beverage manufacturing industry, but other manufacturing industries will be considered.It is required that he/she have a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).Relocation is available for the right candidate.Apply now as this is an immediate need!
Responsiblities:
1. Lead controls engineer developing and implementing controls improvements to facilitate improved process capability, improved reliability, and reduced plant manufacturing cost.
2. Controls interface with production teams maintain close working relationship and participate as a team member with system engineers, quality engineers, and production leadership.
3. Utilize understanding of controls and systems (processing and packaging – specifically grain elevators) to development and implement improvement opportunities.
4. Provide training on controls and information systems to plant personnel, operators, electricians, and management as needed.
5. Lead development of site controls and information strategy.
6. Interface with corporate controls engineering team to ensure compliance with corporate standards, leverage expertise to develop innovative controls solutions & share best practices.
Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
-3-7 years experience with instrumentation and controls within a manufacturing environment.
-Food processing or related industry experience desired
-Demonstrated understanding of sequence of operations / system logic, instrumentation, and process control
-creation, modification, updating and of optimization of PLC programs
-creation, modification, and updating HMI application
-Knowledge of or willing to learn AB Control Logix, AB PLC 5, AB Panelviews
-Demonstrated technical leadership, team facilitation skills, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, troubleshooting
