Umicore Indium Products has an opening for a qualified Controls Engineer. Strong preference is given to local candidates.

Education:

Min 4 year degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering or 2 year electrical technician associate degree with equivalent work experience to meet below

Experience:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment implementing various automation projects 
2. Complete understanding of ladder logic including ability to build programs from scratch. Siemens PLC’s a plus
3. Ability to optimize motor drives
4. Ability to create MMI interfaces using a software like “Wonderware”
5. Experience networking together various equipment
6. Experience converting analog to digital controls
7. Experience with developing databases to store process variables to be analyzed witha statistical software
8. Experience with an ERP software preferably SAP
9. Experience installing and troubleshooting new PLC driven equipment
10. Experience tuning/optimizing PID loops
11. Plus if experienced in wiring/ electrician skills with license in a maintenance role
