The Air Conditioning Systems and Services business of Ingersoll Rand provides heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems that enhance the quality and comfort of the air in homes and buildings around the world. Its offerings, under the Trane and American Standard Heating & Air Conditioning brands, include energy efficient systems, service and parts support and advanced building controls.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities include:
* Develop embedded microprocessor-based HVAC electronic controls that meet defined schedules, performance objectives, reliability goals, DFMA and cost goals
* Actively pursue and implement improved quality and safety into the design and production of the controls and accessories using NPD processes
* Technical interface with Systems Engineering, Product Management, Field Operations Excellence, Integrated Supply Chain and Customers
* 5 or more years experience in electronic engineering preferred
* Understanding of product development processes and requirements
* Knowledge of control algorithms, specification development, and electronic design methods
* Digital and analog hardware design, testing, and qualification experience
* Experience in design for electronic manufacturability
* Excellent communication skills
