Wholesale Underwriting division of a well-established mortgage company is looking for an energetic, professional, goal-oriented person to fill its government underwriting position. Underwriter must have a minimum of two years government underwriting experience. Will be responsible for providing a loan decision based on an individual's credit history, financial position, and strength of collateral.This person must have attained Direct Endorsement status from HUD and/or SARs authority from VA and have an extensive understanding of FHA, VA, and FAMC guidelines. Will complete thorough analysis of loan files to determine compliance with company, investor, and FHA/VA guidelines. Will respond to post-closing, insuring and audit reviews in a timely fashion. A files in a paperless environment. Will process five files daily from clearing conditions to disclosure statements.
