Position Description:
Position Summary:
This position is responsible with fellow team members for providing QA analysis of the content and consistency of course lecture materials and to assist with quality assurance of the EDMC OHE systems to support business operations as directed by functional management. This position is responsible for developing, executing, measuring, and evaluating data and providing accurate reporting and analysis to appropriate personnel within the IT group, the Operations Department and EDMC OHE brand schools. This position is responsible with team members to analyze, report on, verify and certify content and consistency of courses in relation to the quality standards upheld by EDMC OHE in order to improve student persistence, drive operational efficiency, enhance customer service, upgrade staff response time and refine quality assurance and student experience.

The Copy Editor/ QA Analyst will focus on reviewing OHE courses for standardization, clarity, readability, completeness, relevance, functionality and currency and will play a key role in Reporting defects and discrepancies related to course reviews to the Content Development Team as well as Monitor and communicate defect status to closure there by bridging the gap between student persistence/performance and EDMC brand school faculty, by examination and analysis of quantitative and qualitative student, course and faculty data.

The Copy Editor will examine and Certify courses for duplication and compliance to ensure that they are quality courses related to faculty and students and provide information for EDMC OHE leadership to drive faculty instructional quality, recommend improvements in curriculum and increase operational efficiency of full time and adjunct faculty across all brand schools.

Key Job Elements:

1. Analyze courses for standardization, clarity, readability, completeness, relevance, functionality and currency. Provide quantitative input into curriculum development and faculty management in areas that need additional focus from a student’s perspective by reporting defects related to course reviews to Content Development.
2. Manage and provide performance reports regarding courses through a thorough review of course data, analyze to determine root causes for defects related to the course reviews and report, monitor and follow through to completion and correction of the defect.
3. Identify and recommend opportunities to use systems to increase operational efficiency across all functional areas related to the student and faculty course experience.
4. Coordinates with Director of Technology and the Quality Assurance Manager for required daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc reports, in order to maintain proactive information flow from the department.
5. Responsible for internal reports, at desired intervals, as required and/or requested by Director of Technology and the Quality Assurance Manager. Maintain test documentation related to course reviews. Certify courses are acceptable for duplication to EDMC OHE standards for general usage for student and faculty.
6. Uphold operation processes and procedures of the EDMC OHE QA department.
7. Conducts all activities in accordance with the highest ethical standards.
8. Performs other duties, as needed, per the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager.

6. Strong abilities in computer automation and technology software: To include MS Excel, MSWord, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, CARS, CampusVue, eCollege, Image Now, and other applicable software and programs.
7. Proven ability to access analytical data and review data for solving statistical problems and providing measurable outcomes, quantitative results and qualitative results.
8. Ability to work independently and make decisions based on general guidelines.
