Copywriter, Creative Team --- Bloomingdale's NYC

Overview:
Bloomingdale's has an excellent opportunity for an experienced writer to contribute to our in-house creative team. We are looking for someone who will help capture a sense of fashion authority, contribute conceptual ideas, and help generate advertising collateral that is provocative, playful and engaging.  This position reports to Associate Creative Director of Copy
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Attend concept meetings with creative team and merchants to learn about advertising programs

  • Create copy for in-store merchandise and storewide advertising campaigns

  • Write creative copy for newspapers, magazines, social media, radio and catalogs

  • Develop copy concepts and text for special events materials including invitations, letters, postcards, etc.

  • Brainstorm new campaign concepts

  • Reports to Associate Creative Director of Copy


Skills Summary:
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience

  • BA/BS required (English, Communications, or Advertising/Marketing preferred)

  • Prior experience in fast-paced and dynamic creative environment

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Highly motivated and detail oriented

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong reasoning and listening skills

  • Highly organized with an ability to adapt to quickly changing priorities

  • Works well both in a team environment and independently

  • Well versed in fashion and design

  • Conceptual marketing and/or editorial experience a plus
