Position Summary
The Corporate Accounting Manager will manage the daily accounting transactions to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the company's consolidated financial results. They will also support management and operations by providing timely and accurate management reports and analyisis. They will also work to ensure compliance with both internal and external accounting policies and procedures.
What You'll Do
- All accounting functions for NA locations through financial statement preparation
- Consolidate and present global financial results
- Prepare effective communication of various management reports and analysis including forecasts and budgets
- Work with operations on the budgeting and forecasting process for Corporate
- Canadian cash management
- Serve as lead contact for US and consolidated portion of external year- end audit
- Monitor and ensure compliance with various Sarbanes-Oxley and ISO requirements relating to the company's financial processes and procedures
What You Have
- Education- a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent related work experience
- Experience- 3-5 years of supervisory/management experience in a Finance department
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Knowledge of Oracle Financial system and Prophix Enterprise Software
- Ability to multi-task and manage large amounts of data while focusing on accuracy and deadlines
- Desire to strive for continuous improvement in the accounting and financial reporting process
- Ability to work well with others and a willingness to assist in other areas and on other projects as required
