Job Description: PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The position is responsible for process improvement activities designed to make the group’s work more efficient and to reduce risk. The primary means by which this will be achieved is by administrating the initial, and ongoing, implementation of the TLM/COAC system. The position also reviews, and evaluates, corporate action events for all portfolios managed or sponsored by T. Rowe Price. The position interacts with the investment staff, custodian banks, data vendors, portfolio accountants, and other internal and external customers.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads projects and process improvement efforts on behalf of corporate actions as assigned. May partner with other groups to address issues and develop solutions. Provides status reports, identifies and escalates problems. Follows through to resolution.
Acts as subject matter expert by serving as a resource to the group; assists in the training of new staff as necessary.
Reviews voluntary and mandatory event folders, manages workflow and collaborates with other leaders to consistently meet group standards for accuracy and timeliness. Handles daily ad hoc requests as assigned by the manager or supervisor and follows through to resolution.
Identifies trends and potential issues that may create risk. Directs implementation of, ensures adherence to, and continually reviews procedures and controls with the objective of improving quality and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors in Accounting/Finance preferred 3-4 years related experience preferred Interpersonal skills Communications skills – oral and written Research and audit skills Financial services industry knowledge Ability to work in deadline driven environment Multi-tasking and organizational skills Attention to detail Analytical ability Strong PC skills High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 yrs related work exp., or college degree required
