A public semiconductor company located in Santa Clara, California has an immediate opening for in-house corporate counsel. 

Job responsibilities

• Reviews and draws up contracts involving leases, licenses, purchases, sales, employment, and varied legal matters.
  
• Provides legal advice with respect to corporate administration and corporate governance.
  
• Anticipates and guards against legal risks involving the company.
  
• Manages outside counsel to ensure high quality, cost effective legal representation.
  
• Additional responsibilities may include intellectual property management and regulatory compliance.

 Qualifications

• JD degree with 3+ years general corporate experience in large law firm or as in-house counsel in high-tech environment.
  
• Litigation management or support experience is a plus, but not required.
  
• Positive attitude and willing to learn and grow with the company.
  
• Excellent interpersonal, written & oral communications skills. 
  
• Ability to quickly analyze issues and provide sound, practical advice.
  
• Fluency in Mandarin is strongly preferred.
