Materials Manager - Corporate
Shiloh Industries, a leading edge manufacturer and supplier to the automotive industry located in Northeastern Ohio is seeking an experienced purchasing professional to join its Corporate Purchasing Team.
Duties will include:
- Management of processes and procedures in the Production Control/Materials functions. These functions include Master Scheduling, Production Planning, Requirements Planning, Purchasing coordination, and Inventory Control.
- Coordinate and develop Manufacturing system/ processes designed to be used to manage material and information required for planning and production.
- Work with division Materials Managers and Corporate IT to establish electronic communications on customer requirements, inventory management systems and raw material ordering.
- Work with division materials departments to support, on a daily basis, the JIT production environment with minimal inventory and material handling.
- Develop and support key measurements on inventory levels (turns, days on hand), lead times, and lot sizes (purchasing & production).
- Authorizes all requisitions for direct material prior to submission to Corporate Purchasing.
Qualifications:
- Candidates accepted will have a Bachelor’s degree and possess five years of related leadership/material management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong background in ERP implementation.
- BAAN experience a plus.
- Must have experience in multi-plant management
- Must be willing to travel 25% of the time.
