The Role

Establishes, implements, monitors, and audits quality systems and procedures specifically designed to improve cost of quality.  Utilizes statistical techniques to improve process/

product quality and reliability.  Coordinates and implements Quality Assurance (QA) activities with Product Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production.   Serves as leader/

project manager for cost of quality projects.

·         Requires a current and continuing right to work in the United States without sponsorship.

·         Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 20 percent of time.

Basic Qualifications

·         Bachelor’s degree in engineering

·         Ten years quality/engineering experience

·         Three years project management experience.

Other Requirements

·         Demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision.

·         Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

·         Demonstrated working knowledge of relationship database software; ability to mine data.

·         Leadership and mentoring skills required; ability to encourage member decision-making by assisting with and/or identifying issues, problems, and opportunities.

·         PC and keyboard/mouse skills required.

Preferred Qualifications

To be considered for this position the job seeker must meet all of the above requirements. The following qualifications are a plus:

·         American Society of Quality Control Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) certificate highly preferred.

·         Manufacturing, operations, or supervisory experience highly preferred.

·         Graduate degree in engineering or business

·         Experience with Six Sigma
