Position Summary:
The Corporate Risk Manager will be responsible for formulating and implementing the corporate insurance program including optimization of coverage and competitive pricing. This position also assists in space risk management program and institutes policies and procedures which assist the company in identifying and mitigating risk including but not limited to disaster recovery programs, property improvements, and workplace safety. The incumbent will gain exposure to a range of financial risk management techniques and strategic planning processes which will require and provide a platform to enhance risk management execution.
Critical Responsibilities: 1. Manage the global corporate insurance programs to include property and casualty, executive risk, fiduciary, employment and other applicable terrestrial lines as identified 2. Review insurance and indemnification provisions in business contracts for compliance with applicable insurance lines 3. Manage claims and loss control activities 4. Manage relationships with third party service providers including brokers and insurers 5. Support the Corporate Risk Profile team in the identification of risk exposures and mitigation 6. Compile data for renewals and benchmarking of insurance lines to ensure appropriateness and competiveness 7. Serve as main point within the company for claims reporting, promoting risk awareness, and establishing mitigation programs 8. Assist in space risk management including placement of launch, satellite in-orbit and aviation products liability and third party liability insurances
Minimum Requirements:
- Experience in corporate risk management and insurance products required, preferably with specific experience in aviation insurances - Strong understanding of shareholder value principles with a demonstrated ability to identify, quantify and treat financial risk - Proven ability to establish buy-in and facilitate teamwork and broad based cooperation, including the ability to work remotely with a collaborative team approach - Ability to develop consensus in a group with diverging views - Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of management and staff and with the company's external partners and peers in the industry - High-energy approach to solving problems, including a strong sense of urgency when dealing with critical goals - Can-do attitude to carry out projects from start to finish on a timely basis
