 Corporate Strategy Associate and Assistant to the CEO


The Corporate Strategy Associate will contribute to, and lead, special projects in a multitude of areas, including: directly support the CEO to develop sales and external communication materials, conduct business development research and analysis, analyze the competitive landscape, assess  marketplace trends, monitor the ever-changing regulatory and stimulus environment, and help identify opportunities for strategic alliances and M&A potential.  The Corporate Strategy Associate specializes in quantitative analysis and works primarily with the CEO, and also directly with Operations, Sales & Marketing and Finance. You will be given ownership of significant segments of strategic projects, as well as responsibility for supporting the broader problem-solving effort of the organization.


Responsibilities:



  • Conduct project-related activities for the CEO, CFO and VP of Operations in the areas of strategy development, strategic planning, financial analysis, operations analysis, capital investment decisions, and special projects.
  • Directly responsible for framing up-front work plans, designing targeted research, collecting data from various sources, and ultimately deriving strategic insights from the research.
  • Use insights to build cohesive, compelling, logical arguments to move senior management to action, including leading the creation of C-level presentation materials.

Qualifications:



  • Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong quantitative skills, analytical skills (especially the ability to analyze business situations in a structured, logical way), written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills. 
  • The CEO is looking for an energetic, well-rounded self-starter who are also good team-players with a willingness to learn and a good sense of humor.
  • Bachelor's degree from a leading undergraduate institution is preferred. 
  • 1-2 years of strategy consulting experience with a top-tier firm is required. 
  • GPA over 3.5 and GMAT over 700 and/or SAT combined score over 1400 is preferred.
