This position will be an integral part of the NAA Supply Chain and Logistics Cost Accounting team, supporting the following departmental responsibilities:
• Sales and Margin analysis by Product, including large project close out analysis and backlog analysis.
• New product development support, building product cost models and comparisons to baseline and target costs.
• Cost reduction program support and project savings validations. Includes reporting and forecasting.
• Annual standard cost rolls, including burden development, standard to standard impact analysis, and cost evolution of “typical” product configurations.
• Freight and Distribution expense forecasting and reporting, including monitoring and validation of logistics cost reduction programs.
• Commodity tracking, Purchase Price Variance forecasting and reporting.
• Inventory monitoring and analysis, including reporting and conducting the annual physical count.
Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA or MBA a plus, but not required)
Minimum of 3 years experience in cost accounting/financial reporting
Exposure to and familiarity with complex financial and accounting systems
Proficiency with PCs and Microsoft Office programs (Access/Excel/PowerPoint)
Strong fundamental accounting and analytical skills; attention to details
Organized, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
Demonstrates strong verbal and written communication skills
Additionally, analyst will be challenged to identify and implement process improvements within areas of responsibility. Special projects will be assigned to promote development of additional product and operational knowledge.
