Position Responsibilities:
- Develops, implements and manages an effective cost analysis administration system
- Plans, collects and analyzes data to determine costs of business activities.
- Reviews Bills of Material relating to the cost of production.
- Develops labor standards and monitor labor routings.
- Analyzes changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods to determine effects on costs.
- Develops new product cost data.
- Analyzes and prepares month end reports reconciling gross margin to actual costs/standard costs.
- Analyzes and prepares reports regarding scrap cost by cost centers.
- Analyzes efficiencies and prepares reports by cost centers and work centers.
- Coordinates inventory cycle counts and physical inventories.
Position Requirements:
- Four-Year Degree in Accounting or Finance with five years operational experience as a cost accountant working in an automated manufacturing standard cost system.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written
- Computer literate in basic application software systems (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook) required.
- Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning system, SAP preferred.
- Available to travel to other locations as required (approximately 25% travel).
