About the Job

Worldwide Consumer Products Manufacturer Looking For Cost Accounting Senior / Manager.  Excellent visibility, World Class Benefits including 401k, and full Medical and Dental. 


 


Objective:  Analyze and control all cost accounting activities within the organization and support the Operations group and Management by providing accurate, timely, and relevant information.


Reports to:  Controller      


Qualifications:


•         B.S. in Accounting / Finance


•         CMA / CPA a plus


•         Experience: 2-5 years Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.


•         Hands-on team player with strong customer orientation.


•         Strong analytical skills


•         Very good communication and interpersonal skills.


•         Strong Microsoft Excel skills.


•         Experience with integrated ERP system (preferably SAP R/3)

Corporate, Company and Legal Responsibility: 


A.  Conform to the Quality, Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety Management Policy, manual, standard operating procedures, work instructions and continued improvement.


 


B.       Comply with corporate and company stated policies and procedures as well as all applicable laws established by local, state and federal agencies.


 


                   


•         Oversees all cost information for new items. This includes reviewing all set up and costing in the company ERP system as well as estimates for new products created outside the ERP system.


•         Reviewing & posting all inventory transactions and associated variances to the general ledger.  This includes reviewing results of postings for accuracy and completeness.


•         Support the finance department during monthly and yearly forecasts and closings. This includes preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, analytical review of variance accounts, and communications with plant management.


•         Assists management in the budgeting process and subsequent budget-related decisions and helps to develop the monthly budget break-down.


•         Assist Operations users to understand the financial impact of various decisions as well as monthly inventory & variance reporting.


•         Compiles and manages all inter company costing & pricing.


•         Analyzes profitability of capital expenditure projects (NPV, payback calculations, etc).


•         Assists in special projects (make or buy decision, working capital projects, production efficiency analysis).


•         Supports the yearly cost roll up and revaluation of inventory.


•         Supports sales & marketing by providing cost information as needed.
