Cost Accountant 30-12106577

The Cost Accountant will handle day-to-day responsibilities related to ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of operational results.  This position is located in Naperville and will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

DUTIES:

Provide production and inventory reporting to management, including month end journal entries
Maintain computerized plant cost accounting system

Understand the logic of the current application configuration and the impact to the business if the configuration is modified
Work with Business Analysis to trouble shoot and resolve system application issues for your functional area
Maintain SOX 404 system of internal controls for cost accounting
Perform other analyses and projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting with 5+ years experience in manufacturing accounting in a standard cost environment that includes 3+ years cost accounting experience. CPA is a plus. Have strong analytical, communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills. Proficiency PC and server based software applications. Experience with ERP systems and Oracle OPM Production Management systems are strongly preferred.
