Plastipak Packaging Inc. is a growing global rigid consumer packaging company seeking a Cost Accounting Professional!
Plastipak has grown 11% annually over the last 10 years! Plastipak is continuing to expand its operations in the United States and around the world. Because of this growth, we are looking for a cost accountant to work within our global headquarters in Plymouth Michigan.
This high profile position has exposure to senior management and opportunity to grow into a leadership position within the organization.
Some responsibilities would include:
Financial Analysis including maintaining and publishing weekly and monthly financial reporting
Complete customer price modeling analysis
Calculating and analyzing actual overhead costs
Perform analysis and maintenance of standard product costs
Conduct quarterly physical inventory audits, report and analze month end inventories
Assist in preparation of annual budget
Qualified candidates should possess the following
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related degree
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, planning and organization skills
Ability to travel 25% and work extended hours as needed
