Cost Accountant
About the Job
Our client has asked us to assist in identifying a cost accountant for their food manufacturing operations located in North Carolina. The client wants someone with hands on cost accounting experience (preferably in a perishable food manufacturing setting) capable of performing the following duties:
* Meets cost accounting operational standards by contributing cost information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, and quality standards; resolving problems; identifying cost system improvements.
* Meets cost accounting financial standards by monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
* Hands-on, in plant analysis.
* Prepares cost forecasts by collecting, coordinating, consolidating, evaluating, and projecting cost data; updating cost estimates; preparing new-product cost estimates.
* Determines cost of plant operations by collecting, coordinating, consolidating, analyzing and reporting costs on a timely basis.
* Confirms plant costs by auditing cost accounting systems; preparing post audit analysis of capital projects; updating standard costs.
* Presents status of plant operations by collecting, interpreting, and reporting cost information.
* Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
We are looking for candidates with skills/abilities in the following areas:
Cost Accounting, Supervision, Forecasting, Analysis, Coordination, Developing Standards, Developing Budgets, Computer skills, prefer SAP experience, open to relocation to the SE USA.
