Cost Accountant Manager 30-11085707

This Cost Accountant Manager will handle day-to-day responsibilities related to ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of operational results.  This position is located in Elgin and will report directly to the Vice President of Finance.

DUTIES:

Develop an understanding of the purchasing and receiving modules and be able to perform corrective transactions

Prepare pricing quotes for customer jobs

Work with customers to answer questions in regards to price and production capabilities

Establish and maintain all material, labor and overhead standard costs on an on-going basis

Analyze costs and profitability

Develop pricing control system

Manage the quoting, billing and ordering of all new dies for customer jobs

Perform inventory analysis and control

Analyze changes in product designs, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided to determine impact on costs

Recommend cost efficiencies in new product designs

Perform other pricing and costing analyses as required

Communicate results of above analyses in clear, concise management reports

Perform other special projects as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required with 5+ years experience in manufacturing. CPA or CMA preferred. JD Edwards is required. Well organized, attention to detail and self-starter.
