Cost Accounting Analyst will support the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the accurate, timely and complete preparation of the Company's consolidated, divisional and cost center financial statements including the accuracy of the processes' underlying procedures as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Cost Accounting Analyst will support the Accounting Manager and is responsible for the accurate, timely and complete preparation of the Company's consolidated, divisional and cost center financial statements including the accuracy of the processes' underlying procedures as assigned.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide input into cost accounting techniques and methodologies which improve business insight and operational results.
- Work with team members in North America and Asia to provide forecasting and analytics associated with manufacturing cost.
- Review supply chain overheads and monitor in relation to fixed and variable overheads assigned to product cost.
- Analyze freight expenses and prepare monthly reports.
- Perform analysis regarding Material, Labor, and Overhead costs.
- Coordinate and conduct physical inventory counts.
- Develop Executive-level overviews on Product Cost trends, inventory and other key financial areas.
- Manage the fixed asset system for North American operations.
- Assist with month-end financial closing and reporting responsibilities.
- Reconcile GL accounts related to inventory and purchasing.
- Other activities as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred.
- 3 - 7 years related experience in a manufacturing environment - cost accounting experience required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer based analysis using Microsoft Office and other software.
- Must be able to work independently, possess strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Must possess excellent communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
