Job Description:

Duro Textiles LLC, with a tradition going back to 1947, is one of the country’s largest dyers, printers, finishers and distributors of fabric and textile products.  The cost analyst position will report to the V.P. of Plant Operations.

Responsibilities:

The “shop floor” will become a familiar place to the Cost Analyst, who will collaborate with department managers on a daily basis, and will be responsible for analyzing and calculating inventory and costs.

• Develop and maintain plant operational budget and provide monthly review to management
• Ensure costs are accurately gathered and reported by job, customer and product line
• Provide Management with information on WIP, inventory cycle counts and usage variances that may have impact on the P&L
• Participate in cycle counting process and work with department managers to ensure accurate inventory counts
• Ascertain comprehensive knowledge of ERP system, in order to analyze and research:
  • Bills of Material development, accuracy and maintenance
  • Manufacturing Routing
  • Item Cost Roll Up – material, labor and overhead
  • Integrated Transactions
  • Production variances
  • Material Issues to Production Orders
• Some travel may be necessary

Qualifications

·         5 - 7 years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years of Cost Accounting

·         Proven ability to analyze material, labor and overhead standard costs and variances

·         Minimum of 4 years experience using an ERP system, preferably BAAN

·         Knowledge of MS Office suite and spreadsheet software, with ability to perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Ability to interact with management and all levels of production

·         Good analytical skills

·         Strong planning and organization skills

·         Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
