Qualifications:
- Minimum twenty-one (21) years of age
- Be a citizen of the United States
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Possess a valid Florida driver's license
Be in good physical condition
Be of good moral character
Not have received a dishonorable or undesirable discharge from any of the Armed Services
Must currently possess a Basic Law Enforcement or Corrections Training Certification issued by the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission.
Have pled guilty, nolo contendere to or found guilty of any felony convictions even if the sentence was suspended or adjudication was withheld by the judge, or
Have pled guilty, nolo contendere to or found guility of any misdemeanor involving moral character, perjury, false statements or domestic violence even if the sentence was suspended or adjudication was withheld by the judge

- 10 years of previous Employment and Residential Check
- Oral Board interview
