Creative Director-Copy/Marketing Strategy

Shifts: Not ApplicablePositions Available: 1Position Summary Must have a majority of experience gained from the Pharmaceutical field Under general direction of the Director for the Managed Markets team, the Creative Director is responsible for partnering with internal teams and clients on strategy, design and implementation of innovative marketing campaigns and tactics to ensure access and reimbursement to pharmaceuticals. The Creative Director must be able to work closely with clients to understand brand challenges and opportunities in the various payer segments and aid in assembling large project teams to create and pull-through cutting-edge marketing programs. In addition, the Creative Director will work directly with new business development leads to shape and participate in payer agency pitches. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Technical Skills and Expertise - Create innovative brand tactics and strategies
- Partner with clients to understand their brand, messaging, and creative vision
- Develop strong relationships with clients and position Xcenda as a preferred payer agency
- Create sketches or storyboards that convey relevant concepts
- Work collaboratively with creative team, market research team, health economics team, managed care experts and copywriters to establish or evolve messaging and product client deliverables
- Review all copy deliverables associated with a project, provide feedback as needed
- Present work internally to project team, provide design rationale, and defend work in creative reviews or meetings
- Stay abreast of pharmaceutical and healthcare marketing trends
- Partner with account service leads to establish timelines and schedules, ensure adherence to them

Team Membership - Works with Director of Payer and Outcomes Solutions to grow payer agency offering, including development and enhancement of services portfolio as appropriate
- Mentor, guide, and inspire creative teams via brainstorming sessions and one-on-one meetings to ensure growth and quality
Business Development - Lead creative aspects and campaign development for new business pitches and the design of written responses
- Grows existing client relationship and develop new business opportunities
Financial Accountability - Manages project budgets
- Allocates human and financial resources as appropriate to ensure objectives are accomplished
- Searches and pursues revenue generation opportunities and effectively manages to ensure that new revenue is realized
Quality and Compliance - Overall responsibility for timeliness, accuracy, and completeness of all services
- Identifies areas for risk
- Fosters proactive, continued quality improvement
- Ensures and maintains highest integrity and honesty in all business activities

Experience and Education Requirements - BA or BFA in Liberal Arts, Design or very closely related degree
- 7 + years agency / creative work experience
- Managed markets agency experience
- Must have a majority of experience gained from the Pharmaceutical field
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements - Thorough understanding of marketing communications and campaign development
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, Flash and Microsoft Office
- Understanding of video and multimedia
- Demonstrated success within the consulting environment or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong leadership skills and demonstrated experience in leading successful teams
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to develop sound, long-term client relationships and an ability to influence clients
- Ability to work well in a dynamic, successful consulting firm, which maintains high quality standards and demands excellence
Additional Information Willingness to travel to client sites (assume 20% of time)
