As the Credentialing & Enrollment Coordinator you will research and obtain verification of physician's and physician extender's medical experience, professional references, state licensure, DEA, medical education and institutional affiliations, as well as ensure completion of billing paperwork for each provider.


 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


 


Prepare and send physician files to client hospitals, maintain current documentation, update database, research and obtain verifications.  Process billing paperwork for providers.


 


OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:


 


Establish clients needs and expectations to ensure solid working relationship with each client 


Identify and request missing documentation for new files


Identify and request expired documents on a monthly basis


Mail out verification letters and follow up to ensure timely return


Input new physicians and updated documentation into credentialing database


Send completed credentialing files to hospitals and follow up 


Contain and minimize general and administrative costs


Attend monthly meetings with billing company


Function as a liaison between our company and the billing company


Provide VP and Operations Manager with a monthly credentialing and enrollment report



Assist scheduling, recruiting and other internal departments as needed


Share in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies


Travel as needed to establish relationships and obtain paperwork


 


 


QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:


 


Experience/Abilities:             


Two or more years of credentialing experience and physician relations strongly desired; knowledge of billing and enrollment functions is a plus


Credentialing certification (CPCS) or equivalent is preferred


Must possess excellent oral, written, communication, relationship and organizational skills


Must be detail oriented and able to multi-task in a team oriented, time-sensitive environment.    


Ability to function under stressfull situations and deadlines and demonstrate solid judgement


Mst be a team player


High Degree of confidence and ablility to interact eith all levels of the company


Ability to balance team and individual responsibilities


 


Up to 25% travel
