Responsible for approving orders for assigned accounts with company policies and procedures. Establish credit limits for assigned accounts by obtaining commercial agency reports, contacting trade and bank references and analyzing financial reports. Work with sales and other departments on credit related issues. Credit analyst will be teamed with a Sr. Credit Analyst who will act as a mentor.
*Investigate credit risk of customers and monitor the collection of balances due.
*Review and release pending orders.
*Establish new accounts.
*Review existing accounts to insure a proper credit limit has been set.
*Submit credit request beyond authority to a Sr. Credit Analyst.
*Analyze financial reports to determine the risk associated with individual accounts. Analysis will consist of calculating ratios, trends and comparing to industry standards.
*Address short payments and claims in a timely fashion.
*Implement various forms of security to protect accounts receivable.
*Handle credit inquiries and correspondence.
*Submit information as required by credit insurance company.
*Transfer accounts that exceed authority to the senior credit analyst
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years related experience. Degree preferred, but not required if experience is there. Must have strong communication skills, good eye for detail, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
