Under general supervision provides a wide variety of credit and collection functions and responds to non routine moderately complex inquiries and credit/term call with some degree of latitude and judgment using existing credit policies and procedures.

Following established Corporate guidelines, reviews and monitors accounts, works closely with Sales Department personnel, and adjusts terms, as applicable.

Achieves goals established by the Division, such as percent current, DSO, Reserve, Bad Debt, and Write Offs.

Reviews and sets up new customer accounts; gathers credit and banking information, supplier references, and maintains customer files.

Keeps customers within stated Terms (“Terms Compliance”).

Provides support to sales associates and customers.

Gathers and compiles information the credit reviews to assist in the establishment of terms.

Assist in the collection of past due accounts.

Qualifications

Education/Training:  High School diploma or equivalent required.  Some Post-secondary accounting courses preferred.

Related Experience:  Minimum three years credit/collections experience required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Ability to apply mathematical concepts, proficiency in Miscrosoft Office with intermediate Excel skills, must be detail and customer service oriented.
