We are a looking for an OUSTANDING Collections & Credit Analyst to join our talented team.  This position reports to the Assistant Controller at our Chicago Headquarters location, in the Chicago Loop.  This position is responsible for all customer collections, follow-up regarding past due invoices, and the accounts receivable function.  Another challenge in position is for the accurate & timely reporting and analysis of all accounts receivables.


 


Major Duties & Responsibilities:


 


Managing the Account Receivable Function for all product lines within corporate targets by:



  • Planning and implementing collections activities of past due receivables, including customer calls, correspondence, and resolution.
  • Analysis and preparation of detail reconciliations for all A/R balance sheet accounts via Excel
  • Following-up with customers regarding past due invoices and other account issues.
  • Determining root causes of collection and payment dispute issues & developing plans to resolve.
  • Placing and reviewing orders and accounts on credit hold, taking appropriate actions.
  • Establishing accounting procedures for efficient collection of accounts
  • Preparing and perform various analysis reports and other ad hoc projects as required.

 


Qualifications: 


 


·         Five years of business to business collections, credit, and general A/R experience.


·         Proven Experience in A/R with Accounting and finance related processes and ability to work in a fast paced work environment.


·         Proficient with the MS Office package; extremely high level of proficiency in Excel.


·         Skill and experience with accounting software systems, Great Plains preferred


·         Excellent communication and negotiations skills.


·         Detail orientation and excellent organization skills.


·         A well developed sense of judgment, business acumen, and priorities.


·         Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
