Responsible for managing the credit functions of the Southeast Division. Responsible for controlling collections on customer accounts due. Conduct weekly monitoring of accounts and appropriate follow-up action including phone calls, mailing of collection letters and notices of intent as well as filing liens and claims on bonds. Interact with customers, management and sales teams by phone and email. Perform credit analysis on new customers and evaluate existing customers ongoing in a constantly changing environment. Compile monthly and quarterly management reports. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to the customer credit process. Provide support to sales, audit and finance personnel as needed.
Requirements
· Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, related discipline or equivalent experience required
· Minimum 3 - 5 years credit experience with a solid knowledge of the credit process including specific working knowledge of lien and bankruptcy laws as well as credit recommendations
· Understands accountability; ability to work in team environment and interact effectively with customers, management and sales teams
· Excellent oral and written communication skills
· Solid understanding of business finance
· Excellent time management and planning skills; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
· Advanced computer skills that include Microsoft Office
· JD Edwards experience preferred; 10-key touch experience a plus
· Minimal travel required
