The Credit Officer/Analyst will assist with managing the Bank’s various loan portfolios including maintaining loan quality, formulation of credit policy and procedures, management reporting, and the development and promotion of the Bank’s credit culture. Will analyze complex portfolio trends and scoring information to evaluate and control credit risk. May participate in scorecard development. Designs and executes complex data analyses. Makes policy recommendations concerning appropriate risk levels relative to corporate objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
· Analyze portfolio trends, loss trends, and general portfolio dynamics.
· Analyze scoring models, evaluates scorecard predictability.
· Analyze and forecasts trends to ensure control of business.
· Monitors statistical models to determine credit and collections.
· Compute and assess the adequacy of the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses
· Evaluate the ongoing adequacy of the underlying methodology for the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses.
· Oversee loan portfolios by assessing payment status and risk of loss in order to maintain credit quality in line with guidelines as established by the Board of Directors and Senior Management
· Attend Credit Committee
· Formulate credit policy for Board approval, maintain and distribute Loan Policy.
· Administer activities for Directors’ Loan Committee
· Monitor loan quality and adherence to bank policies and all applicable federal and state laws and regulations.

Job Specifications (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required)
· Strong credit analysis and credit administration skills including the ability to analyze credit worthiness of individual commercial and consumer borrowers and complete portfolios.
· Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
· Knowledge of computer system (both PC and mainframe) operations.
· Knowledge of regulations relating to the lending and collection processes, working knowledge of FDIC regulations.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred.
· Requires technical skills related to data manipulation/interpretation.
· At least 7 years related experience in commercial credit, loan review and/or commercial lending, with formal credit training.
