Job Title: Custodian - Healthcare Center (2nd Shift)


Job Summary:  This is a general custodian position. The employee will perform basic cleaning duties and specific custodial functions as related to the industrial specific requirements of the client’s business segment. This particular client’s business segment is Senior Health Care. The employee will be working primarily in a long-term care resident unit and a skilled-rehab unit cleaning resident rooms and common areas. However, employee may occasionally need to work in other areas of the campus. Must be able to pass an FBI background check and a State of Ohio BCII background check. The employee will work in a safe and professional manner at all times. It is a Second Shift Position with Monday thru Friday hours of 1:00PM to 9:00PM. Must work a rotating weekend schedule. This is a 37.5 hours per week position with full-time benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Clean Health Center Resident Units

  • Clean assigned common areas of Health Center

  • Maintain equipment

  • Cover days off for other associates working throughout Campus including Independent Living, Assistant Living, and Main Building offices and common areas.


Qualifications: 



  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • One to three years related experience and/or training

  • Valid driver’s license or State Identification Card

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals. Ability to write basic reports and customer request documents such as work orders.

  • Must be able to operate basic custodial equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors and floor buffing machines.

  • Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment

  • Possess the ability to work overtime
