Located in Middletown, NY Agilysys has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Engineer responsible for troubleshooting, testing and repairing POS systems and peripheral devices for customers while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

 

This is a full-time permanent position with benefits.  You must live within a 30 mile radius of Middletown to be considered for this job.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to customer request for service according to established response/resolution objectives.
  • Diagnose equipment failure using appropriate approach
  • Repair and perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Reconfigure machine after repair and reload software from backup.
  • Communicate problem resolution status to customers while
    maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain / Account for parts inventory, usage, and time through established administrative procedures.
  • Maintain company assets (service vehicle, tools, etc.) in good and safe working order.
  • Communicate problem resolution status to supervisor, lead CE, or customer
  • Provide training to other CE's as directed by Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements:


• Two year associates degree and A+ certification preferred
• Proficient PC skills for testing, troubleshooting and ticket logging
• Prior experience with POS, PC and/or printer repair
• Two years experience in Retail / Customer Facing -Engineering

• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with strong attention to details.
• Must be able to use basic schematic diagrams, parts lists and service manuals.
• Must be able and willing to lift, push and pull 50 pounds.
• Excellent communication and record keeping skills.
• Excellent safety practices.
