An innovator in the container industry, currently has a career opportunity available for an experienced Customer Service/ Inside Sales Representative to join our top notch regional sales team at our Corporate office located in Houston.
Primary responsibilities of this position include knowledgably promoting company products to existing and potential new customers by effectively using a wide variety of communication methods. Candidates must be experienced in a sales role and comfortable asserting themselves in the market with the goal of increasing product sales. This professional will follow sales from initiation to closure and provide quality customer service on a continual basis.
Qualifications of the successful candidate are a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales and customer service, preferably in a manufacturing setting, computer proficiency in MS Office with JD Edwards knowledge preferred, effective communication/organizational skills and the ability to perform independently with confidence. Demonstrated work experience achieving established goals and the ability to effectively coordinate multiple tasks in demanding environment.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Responsible for three key functions, order processing, cost processing, and quote review
processing.
2. Maintain current knowledge of all projects in assigned areas.
3. Responsible for entering orders, tracking orders, and follow up with customers and
sales professionals for all things related to orders.
4. Responsible for processing paperwork relating to orders
5. Responsible for processing orders from outside sales representatives.
6. Responsible for back up for Customer Service Support telephone.
7. Responsible for any customer follow up.
8. Assures Change Orders are sent to the appropriate departments.
9. Responsible for sending acknowledgements and drawings to customers and sales professionals.
10. Runs daily bookings report.
11. Responds to information requests from regions and/or customers.
12. Performs other related function as required or assigned.
13. Works with manufacturing daily to go over any outstanding orders
14. Responsible for processing return orders (RGA’s)
15. Responsible for standard parts orders
16. Communication to outside sales representatives
17. Responsible for cost estimating & pricing proposals
18. Responsible for cost model development
19. Communicates effective and regularly with sales and plant personnel to insure information is
accurate and timely.
20. Prepares selling prices and coordinates custom and special price development
21. Responsible for follow up and pre-approval for Hoover credit procedures
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
SKILL:
The demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
The demonstrated ability to problem solve and be highly proactive
Must be able to type 50-60 words per minute
A minimum of 5 years computer applications experience
Excellent organization and communication skills are essential
Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, demands and priorities comfortably
Preferred previous ERP experience desired
Perpetual Inventory Knowledge
A minimum of 3 to 5 years of manufacturing experience required
Prior Oil & Gas Experience
