About the Job

The Pennsylvania Employees Benefit Trust Fund (PEBTF), a large employee benefits trust fund in Harrisburg is seeking a Customer Service Manager to fill an opening in our Benefit Services Department.


 


Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position is responsible to direct, plan, organize, and monitor the call center staff to meet operational goals and metrics in responding to members on questions relating to their benefits for all PEBTF active and REHP (Retired Employees Health Plan) coverage.  This position will ensure compliance with PEBTF department policies and coordinate with all internal departments to meet the needs of the membership.


 


The Customer Service Manager position requires interaction with peers and other levels of Trust Fund management, as well as communication with the Benefit Services staff.  This position requires verbal and written communication with outside sources such as PEBTF members, Trust Fund Trustees, Vendors and Commonwealth and Union representatives  This includes presentations to PEBTF members at Open Enrollment meetings as well as other member meetings. 


 


Candidates for this position should have experience managing and providing direction for a call center and prioritizing, analyzing and managing departmental needs to meet the developed metrics for the call center. Other requirements are:


 


1.         Undergraduate degree in Business or Health


      Administration required.


2.         Must have knowledge of call center reporting systems.


      Experience in a health care system environment is


      preferred.


3.         Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive management


      experience in a call center preferably in a health care


      environment.


4.         Must have strong oral, written, analytical,


      organizational and communications skills


5.         Must have leadership skills, team building experience,


      presentation and problem solving capabilities


6.         Must be available for local and out of area travel with


      own transportation.
