Business Planning Manager

Responsibilities:
• Mentor and provide direction to the Business Planning and Purchasing team to meet the roles and responsibilities below:
• Analyze trends and relationships among performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement in Customer Service Call Center field.
• Resolve discrepancies between locally generated payroll reports and those created by Corporate Finance.
• Provide site-level performance reports to Corporate Business Planning on a daily and weekly basis.
• Analyze cost trends and performance metrics in a call center environment.
• Attrition tracking and reconciliation.
• Ability to analyze capacity levels and forecast changes in trends.
• Tracking and reporting of labor and non-labor expenses.
• Tracking and processing quarterly and monthly bonus programs.
• Performance reporting and identifying / researching variances to operating plan.
• Involvement in developing labor and non-labor budgets and forecasts.
• Work with line management and ancillary areas to review trends, explain variances and drive operational effectiveness
• Manage vendor relationship as needed to ensure cost effectiveness for the company
• Provide Senior Management with financial and performance data for decision-making purposes.
• Support Departmental Director on special projects or requests as needed.
• Flow charting current processes to identify risk points and opportunities for streamlining.
• Provide ROI analysis or Cost justification analysis as needed.
• Create ad hoc reports as required and all other responsibilities as assigned.
• Set and plan performance objective for the team
• Address any coaching opportunities as appropriately

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access. Excel to include the creation of formulas, pivot tables, charts/graphs, etc.
• Familiarity with Hyperion software and Essbase add-in functions preferred.
• Familiarity with SPC XL and Control Chart functions preferred.
• Problem solving abilities, strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and multi-task.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment with critical deadlines and to interact with all levels of Management.
• Must be a self-starter and problem solver with the ability to function in both an autonomous and team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to learn new software applications.
§ Exceeds Expectations rating or above on most recent [2008] Performance Review preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance/Statistics or related field preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in finance-related field preferred.
• Excellent attendance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
• Web-based and project team experiences are pluses.
