Customer Service Representative (part time)

Job Title: Customer Service Representative


Location: Eden Prairie

Reports to: Customer Service Supervisor

Immediate openings for a Customer Service (Inbound) Call Center Representative seeking part time hours with availability between the hours of 2pm-8pm M-F and 8am-8pm Sat/Sun. Will be responsible for taking calls, answering questions, problem solving, and providing outstanding customer service for a Premier Home Shopping & Internet retailer. Minimum 6 months customer service experience in a call center required. The starting rate of pay is $12.30+ per hour. Part time benefits include 401k, paid training, generous merchandise discounts, and incentive bonuses.


 


Position Overview:


Provide excellent service to our customers by responding to their order concerns, researching customer inquiries, upselling, and making outbound calls as follow-up. Ability to communicate to a variety of audiences and different levels within organization.

Essential Functions:


 


Principle Accountabilities & Authorities:


Answers incoming calls and responds to the customer’s questions and concerns regarding the order process


Researches customer inquiries and enters notes in the system to facilitate assisting the customer


Completes follow up outbound calls as needed to keep customers informed


Demonstrates professionalism by creating a positive image for ShopNBC on all calls and emails


Maintains and effectively articulates a thorough knowledge and skill base for policies, procedures, and computerized information systems


Attendance at team meetings and ongoing training is required


Supports other areas of the department and company as needed


Contributes to the team and the department in a positive and constructive manner


Provides a superior customer service experience to both internal and external customers


Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:



Education:


High School Diploma or GED



 


Experience:


At least six months call center or related experience


Basic knowledge of customer service and shipping terms


Intermediate computer skills – including Windows based programs


 


Physical Activity:


Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm, as in handling.


Repetitive Motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrist, hands, and/or fingers.


Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken work. Those activities, which demand detailed or important instructions spoken to other workers accurately, loudly or quickly.

Visual Demands:


Operators: This is a minimum standard for those whose job requires work done at close visual range. (i.e. preparing and analyzing data and figures, clerical and administrative functions, accounting, computer terminal use, extensive reading, visual inspection, operation of machines, using measurement devices, assembly or fabrication of parts.


 


Physical Requirements:


Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
