POSITION DESCRIPTION

 

JOB TITLE:                          Customer Service Representative

REPORTS TO:                    DBSL/VSM Manager

 

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide excellent support and service to both external and internal customers.  Act as liaison between customers and other departments to ship orders in a timely manner and resolve customer disputes.  Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct. This is a great opportunity for someone just graduating college who would like to transition to a marketing/sales role within a Fortune 500 Company.

The Danaher Sensors and Controls Group manufactures and markets products that sense, measure and control temperature, position, quantity, time, level and flow in the Process Automation and Factory Automation Markets. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Focus on maintaining highest level of service to the customer.
  • Handle all customer communications via phone, fax, mail and e-mail.
  • Prepare, audit, enter and maintain customer orders.
  • Work directly with buyers, cell leaders and outside sales to facilitate and fulfill customer orders and demands.
  • Handle customer invoicing disputes.
  • Respond, resolve and satisfy all customer needs.
  • Support procedures and develop programs to achieve maximum efficiency to enhance the Customer Service process.
  • Anticipate customer’s needs ensuring order accuracy and timely shipments.
  • Perform specific tasks and special projects as assigned by management.
  • Handle key customer accounts.
  • Maintain customer and price data base.
  • Capable of training customer service staff of sister companies and new acquisitions on Danaher  computer systems

 

 

CAREER PROGRESSIONS / PROMOTABLE TO:

Career path opportunities include larger/more complex Sales or Marketing Specialist positions.  Future positions could be in the Sensors and Controls Group or elsewhere in Danaher.

Prior retail or customer service experience a plus but will train
