Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist and greet customers upon entering the store. Understand and be able to guide customer’s through our store demonstrations.
- Process transactions for product(s) sold, including the use of a Point-of-Sale (POS) system, processing of credit cards, debit cards, checks and CareCredit.
- Maintain a variety of automated and manual records, enter data into computer, prepare and submit automated and manual reports, and other duties as required.
- Open and close cash register, count money, complete cash sheets, submit money collected and documentation to appropriate office.
- Operate Inventory Control Software, Microsoft Office Software, and office equipment.
- Maintain detailed customer files in compliance with state regulations.
- Answer customer sales calls and provide information as needed, within the scope of state regulations.
- Assist with product returns, including check requests for reimbursement and forms to be sent to engineering with returned product.
- Complete forms and determine changes for service requested.
- Handle all customers in a professional manner.
Education, Training and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least six (6) months of work experience involving assisting the public.
- Ability to follow verbal and written communications.
- Communicate effectively with public and coworkers in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ability to operate cash register, handle money and maintain financial records, operate general office equipment, word processing equipment, and independently apply and carry out policies and procedures within assigned area of responsibility.
Operate telephone, computer keyboard and copy machine.
Other Requirements:
· Schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
· Employees are required to comply with all company uniform, appearance, hygiene and health standards.
· Employees are expected to carry out all reasonable requests by managers/supervisors, which the employee is capable of performing.
