Purpose of Job:
To accurately and quickly respond to customer orders and questions to ensure orders are entered properly and in a timely manner. Respond to customer inquires in an accurate and timely manner within Graco's policies and procedures. Build positive customer relations.

Principal Activities/Duties:
-Directly communicate with customers by phone (i.e., users, distributors, subsidiaries, sales/marketing and Graco Minneapolis ordering entities).
-Process orders received from customers.
-Communicate unique/special handling instructions to Shipping, Traffic, etc.
-Perform on-line systems updates of orders requiring modification.
-Refer questions regarding department, distribution, and/or corporate policies and procedures to appropriate individuals as required.
-Prepare quotations in response to inquiries for pricing and product availability.
-Participate in continuous program of training on products, promotions, policies, etc.
-Process and respond to customer inquires, deductions requirements, complaints, and other needs in the most expeditious and courteous manner possible (i.e., shipping errors, entry errors, and traffic questions).
-Make promise date commitments to customers as required and follow through to ensure that commitments are either met or the customer receives as much advance notice as possible.
-If back-ordered delivery cannot be met, search and offer substitutes whenever possible within technical capabilities.
-Pre-authorize returns and initiate return authorization.
-Interface with manufacturing to expedite product to meet special customer requirements.
-Perform any other responsibilities as direct by supervisor.
Essential Qualifications:
-Two year technical degree or bachelor's degree possessing a mechanical aptitude or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience.
-Two plus years experience in a customer service phone environment or equivalent.
-Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
-Strong PC and data entry skills.
Desirable Qualifications:
-Graco product knowledge
-Related industry experience
-Training experience
-TOPS/TIMS knowledge
-Foreign Language (Spanish or French preferred)
