Customer Service Sales Associate

POSITION SUMMARY

 

The UpBeat Customer Service & Sales Representative (CSSR) is the first link between catalog customers and the company. Their responsibilities include, but are not limited to taking orders by phone, making recommendations based upon customers’ needs, resolving sales order related problems and providing customer support.  The UpBeat CSSR also interacts regularly with vendors, serving as a liaison between the Upbeat customer and the vendor.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·        Provide customer sales support in an inbound sales contact center environment.

·        Prepare price and product quotes for customers in a timely manner.

·        Follow-up with customers on quoted products to convert to a sale within procedural guidelines.

·        Solicit sale of new or additional products through fact finding conversations with callers.

·        Properly document customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, comments, and quotes in sales order system.

·        Manage vendor relationships when obtaining additional product information or on sale inquiry follow up for customers. 

·        Conduct product research in order to process customers’ special request for merchandise, which may entail contacting vendors.

·        Maintain knowledge of relevant products, policies, and methods of delivery.

·    Other responsibilities as needed in support of company sales within the parameters of physical requirements listed in page two.

 

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

 

This position requires a high school or equivalent education and 1-3 years of inbound and outbound sales experience and/or 3-5 customer service/call center/up selling experience. 

 

  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

 

·        Critical skills include:  Attention to Detail, Communication skills (verbal, listening, written), Customer Orientation, Organizational Awareness, Initiative, Time Management, Problem Solving, and Assertiveness. 

·        Professional call mannerism.

·        Computer proficiency is required.

·        Ability to multi-task.

·        Basic math skills are required.
