Position Overview:


The Sales Support Specialist will assure that the preparation of account research and other support functions needs for the work assigned are met.  The Specialist will be the contact for the Territory Managers.  The Specialist will follow-up and follow-through with a prompt and professional response to Territory Manager/customer needs, questions and specifications.  In addition, this position will provide a focal point for customer inquiries and will assure customer inquiries are processed in a timely manner.  This position reports to the Division Manager, Customer Service.


 


Essential Job Functions


·          Exceed our customer’s expectations through continuous improvement utilizing data and developing procedures to meet those expectations


·          Direct customer satisfaction allowing for improved work methods, facilities, tools, testing, reporting, customer relations and customer service.


·          Work closely with Sales and Operations to insure timely delivery of information requested.


·          Work with sales personnel to establish measures of service required per account.


·          Function as focal point for inquiries and complaints concerning product performance and application.


·          Assure timely completion of PATTH related documentation.


·          Communicate customer business practices across all divisional functions.


·          Work with Product Managers/Sales Managers on PATTH preparation.


·          Ensure that customer specifications are correct and are tied back to written documents and/or quotes.


·          Understanding of ISO and lean manufacturing systems.


·          Monthly reporting and forecasting preparation.


·          Occasional travel may be required.


 


Requirements


·          Customer Service/Marketing/Sales account management experience with an emphasis on manufacturing.


·          Strong verbal and written communications skills with emphasis on telephone skills.


·          Exceptional organizational skills, detail oriented.


·          Must be able to multi-task.


·          Positive attitude; dependable.


·          Excellent PC related skills including Microsoft Office Suite and QAD.  Internet skills a must.


·          Ability to build strong partnerships between internal and external organizations to achieve targeted goals.


·          Self starter; quick learner; positive up-beat personality.


·          Flexible with a “can do, will do” approach.


·          4 year degree with 5-7 years experience or 2 year degree with 10+ years customer service experience.


·          Proven leadership skills.


·          Excellent problem solving skills.
